During Term 4 our writing will be narratives (stories) and letter writing.
Term 3:
We are beginning this term by continuing our poetry unit. This will lead nicely into our poetry recital planned for week 6, more information to follow.
For the remainder of the term we will focus on procedures or instructions.
For the remainder of this Term we are thinking about Poetry in our writing.
We will also begin to prepare for our class and Team Poetry Recital in weeks 10 and 11, more news to follow.
In our poems we will:
- plan with a picture and/or words
- have a title
- set out our poem in lines
- use interesting describing (Wow) words
- we may use some rhyming words
learning all about writing reports.
We know this writing is about something living or non-living and contains true facts about that thing.
Our reports have:
- a title
- a sentence to say what it is (eg. A ladybird is an insect)
- a description (what it looks like, where it lives, what it does)
- a final comment
Come in and read our reports in class.
